I tend to work at two or more paintings at the same time, using the same or similar palettes. This is a small (15 x 20 cm) piece that I'm working at the moment..
This photo shows more contrast in the yellows than I see when I sit in front of the painting.
Compositionally, it's almost finished. I'm torn on how much detailing to add, though.

I've changed the blue to a more suitable one, and given more definition to the yellows. I'm much happier with the colors now; they "pop" quite a bit more.

Today I put the dark frame back into the background and gave shape to the remaining objects. It's basically done now.
