I started in on a third painting, just to do something in a different style. The composition is based on a photo I took in Manning Park.
This is the raw beginnings of an underpainting. I expect a few more underpainting sessions before getting on to the final painting. The white top is unpainted, with charcoal smudges. I used charcoal to rough in the drawing.
I wanted to work on a larger canvas for this, but I found that my two larger blank canvases had developed mold. I opted to paint while the spirit moved me rather than waiting to acquire new canvas.

After working some on Yellow Jumper, I had magenta left on my palette, so I added some white and gave Cascades some attention.
