Wednesday
the 23rd was a sunny day, and I came home to find my kitty Zippy
basking in the sun in the living room. I decided to take advantage
of the strong light to see if I could get any decent photos of him. |
|
 |
But Zippy
wasn't the only beast in my living room. My pal Sonic, a neighbor's
cat, was also there. He had crashed under my TV chair. |
|
 |
He became
slightly more alert when I went in for a close-up, but not much. |
|
 |
I did some
close-ups on Zippy, too, and got a nice profile or two. |

Late Thursday
morning I was leaving to go to a meeting when I stopped and talked
with the caretaker for our building. The caretaker is a nice fellow
named Tom, who has a hobby of photography. It was the first time
he'd seen my new camera, and we chatted for a while about it. As
we continued to chat, this chat started coming our way, and
I got took some photos of him doing so. He sure looked determined. |
|
 |
He came
over to my outstretched hand and let me pet him a couple of times,
but then he wandered back onto the bridge and sat at the edge, presumably
to watch the fish. I got him to look over at me by making a little
clicking noise. He gave me a good wide-eyed kitty stare. |
|
 |
I don't know le
nom of that chat, but I think he lives in the unit
that sticks out into the lagoon in the opposite corner from my
suite. I've seen him over on that patio once or twice.
The last beast I'll
show you is from Sunday the 27th. It's Cadbury, and I found her
outside when I came back from a birding expedition that I'll detail
in my next entry. She was a great subject that day and I got lots
of nice photos of her. Here she is in the garden.
|
|
 |
I think
she was enjoying having her photo taken, because at one point, she
did the happy-kitty eye squeeze for me. |
|
 |
But she
took her modelling job seriously and also gave me some somber poses. |
|
 |
After a few more of
those, I called it a day. Despite it being Sunday, I had work
to do.
Your chat-happy friend,
Tom
